VITEEE is a practical backup for most JEE aspirants: the syllabus overlaps almost fully with JEE Main, and VIT’s four campuses offer a wide range of B.Tech branches. Admission is entirely on your VITEEE rank, so a good score here is independent of your JEE result.

How to prepare for VITEEE alongside JEE
- Revise NCERT Class 11 and 12 thoroughly; VITEEE questions are mostly direct and concept-based.
- Practise speed: 125 questions in 150 minutes leaves just over a minute per question.
- Spend a little time on aptitude and English; they are easy marks.
- Avoid blind guessing now that wrong answers cost a mark.
Counselling and campus allotment
After results, VIT runs online counselling in phases by rank range. A better rank gives first choice of campus and branch, so rank matters more than the exact score. Fees at VIT vary by campus and fee category, which depends on rank; check the current fee structure before choosing.
