JAC Delhi in short

JAC Delhi fills B.Tech seats at DTU, NSUT, IGDTUW, IIIT-Delhi and DSEU using your JEE Main rank. In 2026 it offered 7,765 engineering seats (plus 90 B.Arch seats). 85% of seats are for the Delhi region (Class 12 from a school in Delhi) and 15% for outside Delhi. The registration-cum-counselling fee was ₹1,500.

Delhi region vs outside Delhi

Your region depends on where you passed Class 12, not where you live. If your school is in the National Capital Territory of Delhi, you compete for the 85% Delhi region seats; otherwise for the 15% outside Delhi seats. For NIOS or Patrachar Vidyalaya candidates, the location of the examination centre decides. Outside Delhi seats are far fewer, so they close at much better ranks.

Eligibility (2026 brochure)

  • DTU, NSUT, IGDTUW, DSEU: at least 60% in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics together, English passed, and a JEE Main (Paper 1) rank. Relaxed to 55% for OBC-NCL and Defence, 50% for SC, ST and PwD.
  • IIIT-Delhi: at least 70% in the best five subjects including PCM, with at least 70% in Mathematics, and a JEE Main rank (relaxed for reserved categories).
  • B.Arch (NSUT, IGDTUW): JEE Main Paper 2 with 45% in Class 12 PCM and English.
  • Candidates placed in compartment in the current year’s Class 12 are not eligible that year.

IIIT-Delhi bonus points

IIIT-Delhi gives up to 2 bonus points for Olympiad and programming achievements: 2 points for selection to an International Olympiad training camp (for example IMOTC, IOITC), 1 point for qualifying the national stage (INMO, INOI, INPhO, INChO and similar). Only the single highest bonus counts, and official documents are required.

  • PwD certificate, if applicable

Always use the document list in the current year’s brochure; formats and validity dates are strictly checked.

Choice-filling tips

  • Fill many choices, ordered by your real preference, not by expected cutoff.
  • Mix safe, likely and stretch options using last year’s closing ranks; check what your rank reached in JoSAA for comparison.
  • Do not drop a JoSAA seat until you have a confirmed better seat here.
  • Note every fee and refund rule before accepting a seat, and keep payment receipts.
Which colleges are in JAC Delhi?

Is JAC Delhi based on JEE Main rank?

Yes. B.Tech seats are allotted on JEE Main Paper 1 rank; B.Arch uses JEE Main Paper 2.

Can students from outside Delhi get DTU or NSUT?

Yes, through the 15% outside Delhi region seats, which need a much better rank than Delhi region seats.

₹1,500 (non-refundable) in 2026, plus transaction charges.

Should I register for JAC Delhi if I am in JoSAA?

Yes, if you want DTU, NSUT, IIIT-Delhi or IGDTUW. These are filled only through JAC Delhi, and the fee is small compared to the options it opens.

What is the difference between JAC Delhi and IPU counselling?

JAC Delhi covers DTU, NSUT, IGDTUW, IIIT-Delhi and DSEU; GGSIPU runs its own counselling for its schools and affiliated colleges. Both use JEE Main ranks.
